They have the same popular features as our Patrol Winter boots for adults and also offer some child-friendly features such as a finger loop and elastic laces for easy on and off.
With their flexible, thin sole without a heel and foot-shaped toe box, the Patrol Winter Kids naturally meet all the important criteria of a barefoot shoe. Thanks to the side-stitched tongue, waterproof membrane, grippy sole, insulating lining, and additional felt insole, they are the perfect barefoot winter boots for children.

To accommodate different foot sizes, we've chosen to make the elastic laces on our Patrol Winter Kids boots relatively long. If your child has a small to medium foot size and the standard laces are too long, we include two end clips with every pair of Patrol Winter Kids boots. This allows you to shorten the laces for a customized fit and conceal the cut ends with the provided end clips. You'll find instructions on how to do this in the following steps.
Before you begin, decide on the desired length. The best way to do this is while your child tries on the boots. Make sure you leave enough length so the laces can be loosened enough for your child to easily put the boots on and take them off.
- Cut the shoelaces with scissors.
- Place the cut ends into the end clip as shown.
- Fold the smaller part of the clip over the cut ends and press until it clicks into place.
- Done! Once the boots are on, secure the end clips under the lowest shoelace loops.
