We know you love your Feelgrounds! You've let us know that through your overwhelmingly positive feedback over the past two years. But every now and then, we also received a message saying something like: "If my Feelgrounds were just a little wider, they would be perfect for me."
Since Feelgrounds came along, we've also been wearing our barefoot shoes every day. And we've noticed that over the last two years, our feet have continued to expand to their natural width. This continued until we realized that we, too, needed a little more room for our Feelgrounds to be perfect again.
With our sole update, we are therefore pleased not only to finally fulfill your wishes, but also that we as a team feel it is the right step.
As you may know, changing their soles is a massive investment for a shoe company, since sneaker soles are usually made using molds. Remaking these molds (one extra mold for each shoe size) is quite expensive. So, since we were already creating new molds, we also improved a few other small details on the sole (more on that later in the article).
We are very pleased with the results of the revised models and now enjoy wearing our new Feelgrounds even more than before. We hope you will feel the same way.
Below you will find everything you need to know about our updated models, as well as some pictures showing that the new Feelgrounds look at least as good as their predecessors.
Which models have we updated?
This means all our sneaker models have been updated, as they share the same sole. They are available in the exact same colors as their predecessors. There will be no price increase.
What have we changed?
- A slightly wider and more naturally shaped toe box for even more toe freedom
- Slightly raised outer sole walls for an even more "sneaker" look (the actual sole thickness of 5 mm remains the same)
- improved sole profile
- now also available in size EU 35
What are the advantages of the new models?
- If the previous Feelgrounds models fit you well, your toes will have even more room to spread naturally in the new models.
- If the previous models were a little too narrow for you, the new models probably have just the right fit for you.
- The updated sole shape is less "sloped" (i.e., more room for the little toes). Therefore, the sole now fits even more foot shapes than before (e.g., slope, mountain, plateau).
- The improved profile now has larger and offset points, which provides even more robustness and durability to the sole.
- The sole shape of the updated models is now identical to that of our Patrol winter shoe. This means you can finally wear the new models with our removable insoles. This is perfect, for example, for narrow feet or feet with a low instep.
- Visually, the change in width is hardly noticeable, meaning your Feelgrounds still look absolutely stylish.
Sizing
- The updated models are approximately 3 mm longer than their predecessors in each size. This generally does not change the Feelgrounds size; most customers will order the same size as with the previous models.
- Customers who previously had to choose a larger size in Feelgrounds due to the width, or customers who previously fell between two Feelgrounds sizes, should now consider the smaller size.
- The extra space might feel a little strange or unusual at first, but we speak from experience: after wearing the new models for a while, we wouldn't want to be without them.

The stock of previous models is now completely sold out. The previous models are no longer available.
