The Patrol Winter is a warmly insulated winter model with a waterproof membrane, while the Patrol Lite is a lighter variant perfect for transitional seasons. Both models feature the same sole with a grippy tread pattern for optimal traction. The wide toe box and flexible sole promote a natural gait.
Edit: Since October 2024, Patrol Lite and Patrol Winter are equipped with improved soles.
What are the differences between the two models?
Color variants
Edit: The Steel Grey color variant was no longer restocked for the Patrol Lite from December 2022 onwards and is now completely sold out. Since October 2024, two new color variants have been introduced: Gum Black and Gum Brown.
The Patrol Winter is available in All Black, Dark Brown, Chestnut Brown, and Gum Sand. Particularly striking with the Patrol Winter models is the contrasting colored shaft.
Upper material
Edit: Since October 2024, the Patrol Lite boots in All Black and Gum Black have the same glossy finish as the Patrol Winter. However, the Patrol Lite retains its characteristic breathability.

Inner lining
The soft synthetic leather also lines the inside of the shaft on the Patrol Lite, giving the boot a high-quality appearance. The inner lining is made of microfiber. The shaft interior of the Patrol Winter, on the other hand, is lined with synthetic fur, with the remaining inner lining made of warming fleece.

Laces & Eyelets
The predominantly punched eyelets of the Patrol Lite give it an elegant look. Matching the upper material, the laces are made from waxed cotton in the same color, perfectly rounding out the urban aesthetic. The two-toned laces of the Patrol Winter are made from recycled PET and, together with the metal eyelets, complement the rugged outdoor look.
Edit: From the December 2022 delivery onwards, the punched eyelets of the Patrol Lite are 1 mm larger. This allows for easier lacing and unlacing of the boot, as the laces now slide through the eyelets more easily. From October 2024 onwards, all Patrol Lite and Patrol Winter models feature a practical finger loop on the back that makes putting on and taking off the shoes easier.

Waterproofing
The upper material of both synthetic leather types is water-repellent, making both Patrol models suitable for wearing in the rain. Both Patrol models also feature a side-stitched tongue, which prevents water from entering through the lace eyelets. In contrast to the Patrol Lite, the Patrol Winter features an additional waterproof membrane. This membrane makes the Patrol Winter 100% waterproof, which is why we can confidently recommend the Patrol Winter for use in snow or puddles. The Patrol Lite without a waterproof membrane, on the other hand, impresses with increased breathability.
Edit: From the December 2022 delivery onwards, the tongue of the Patrol Lite is no longer side-stitched. This allows for easier entry into the boot and a more comfortable fit even for voluminous feet.
Insoles
The Patrol Lite comes with a pair of replaceable insoles made from natural cork. The Patrol Winter, on the other hand, comes with a pair of warming felt insoles.

Size guide for both Patrol models
The Patrol models run true to size. Most customers wear the same size as with other Feelgrounds models. Please consider choosing a size larger if you want to wear thicker socks than in your other Feelgrounds models and your other Feelgrounds models already fit rather snugly.
You can find exact measurements as well as our printable size guide PDF on the respective product page and on our size guide page. Our Patrol models are perfect for feet with normal volume. For very flat arches, we recommend an extra insole and/or thick socks.
Care instructions for both Patrol models
To clean your Patrol boots, first remove loose dirt with a soft shoe brush. If needed, apply lukewarm water and a mild cleansing solution with a clean, soft brush. Wipe off excess product with a damp cloth. Let the shoes dry in a well-ventilated place at room temperature after cleaning or if they've gotten wet. Avoid drying near heaters or direct heat, as the synthetic leather can become brittle. Store your boots long-term in a well-ventilated, sun-protected place.
To care for the synthetic leather, maintain the color, and refresh it, we recommend using a synthetic leather care product. Alternatively, you can use a waterproofing spray (not necessary for the Patrol Winter thanks to the waterproof membrane). Finally, lightly spray the inside of your shoes with a odor-eliminating spray .
Both Patrol models are not machine washable.
