The Patrol Winter is a warmly lined winter model with a waterproof membrane, while the Patrol Lite , a lighter version, is perfect for the transitional seasons. Both models feature the same sole with a grippy tread for optimal traction. The wide toe box and flexible sole promote a natural gait.
Edit: Since October 2024, Patrol Lite and Patrol Winter have been equipped with improved soles.
How do the two models differ?
Color variations
Edit: The Steel Grey color variant for the Patrol Lite was discontinued in December 2022 and is now completely sold out. Two new color variants, Gum Black and Gum Brown, were introduced in October 2024.
The Patrol Winter is available in All Black, Dark Brown, Chestnut Brown, and Gum Sand. The contrasting stock is a particularly striking feature of the Patrol Winter models.
Upper material
Edit: Since October 2024, the Patrol Lite boots in All Black and Gum Black have the same glossy finish as the Patrol Winter. However, the Patrol Lite retains its characteristic breathability.

Inner lining
The soft synthetic leather also trims the inside of the shaft of the Patrol Lite, giving the boot a high-quality look. The lining is made of microfiber. In contrast, the inside of the shaft of the Patrol Winter is lined with synthetic fur, while the rest of the lining is made of warm fleece.

Shoelaces & Eyelets
The Patrol Lite's predominantly punched eyelets give it an elegant look. Matching the upper material, the waxed cotton laces are in the same color, perfectly complementing the urban aesthetic. The Patrol Winter's two-tone laces are made from recycled PET and, together with the metal eyelets, complete the rugged outdoor look.
Edit: Starting with the December 2022 delivery, the punched eyelets of the Patrol Lite are 1 mm larger. This makes lacing the boot easier, as the laces now slide through the eyelets more smoothly. From October 2024, all Patrol Lite and Patrol Winter models will feature a convenient finger loop at the back, making it easier to put the boots on and take them off.

Waterproof
The upper material of both synthetic leather types is water-repellent, making both Patrol models suitable for wearing in the rain. Both Patrol models also feature a side-stitched tongue, preventing water from entering through the eyelets. Unlike the Patrol Lite, however, the Patrol Winter has an additional waterproof membrane. This membrane makes the Patrol Winter 100% waterproof, which is why we can confidently recommend it for use in snow or puddles. The Patrol Lite, without the waterproof membrane, offers enhanced breathability.
Edit: Starting with deliveries in December 2022, the tongue of the Patrol Lite is no longer stitched at the sides. This allows for easier entry into the boot and a more comfortable fit, even for wider feet.
insoles
The Patrol Lite comes with a pair of replaceable insoles made of natural cork. The Patrol Winter, on the other hand, comes with a pair of warm felt insoles.

Sizing for both Patrol models
The Patrol models are true to size. Most customers wear the same size as in other Feelgrounds styles. Please note that you may want to choose one size larger if you plan to wear thicker socks than in your other Feelgrounds styles and your other Feelgrounds styles already fit snugly.
You can find exact measurements and our printable size guide (PDF) on the respective product page and on our size guide page . Our Patrol models are perfect for feet with a normal instep. For very low insteps, we recommend an extra insole and/or thick socks.
Care instructions for both Patrol models
To clean your Patrol boots, first remove loose dirt with a soft shoe brush. If necessary, apply lukewarm water and amild cleaning solution with a clean, soft brush. Wipe away any excess product with a damp cloth. After cleaning, or if the boots get wet, allow them to dry in a well-ventilated area at room temperature. Avoid drying them near radiators or direct heat, as this can cause the synthetic leather to become brittle. For long-term storage, keep your boots in a well-ventilated, shaded location.
To care for the synthetic leather, maintain and refresh its color, we recommend using a synthetic leather care product . Alternatively, you can use a waterproofing spray (not necessary for the Patrol Winter thanks to its waterproof membrane). Finally, lightly spray the inside of your shoes with an odor-neutralizing spray .
Both Patrol models are not machine washable.
