We know: you love your Feelgrounds! You've made that clear to us through incredibly positive feedback over the last two years. But every now and then we received a message with the following content: "If only my Feelgrounds were a bit wider, they'd be perfect for me."
Since Feelgrounds came into existence, we've been wearing our barefoot shoes daily. And we've noticed that over the last two years, our feet have continuously expanded to their natural width. And that continued until we realized that we too needed a bit more space to make our Feelgrounds feel perfect again.
With our sole update, we're therefore delighted not only to finally fulfill your wishes, but as a team we also feel it's the right step to take.
As you might know, it's a massive investment for a shoe company to change their soles, since sneaker soles are usually made with molds. Creating new molds (one extra mold per shoe size) is quite expensive. Since we were already creating new molds, we also improved a few other small details on the sole (more on that below in the article).
We're very satisfied with the result of the revised models and now wear our new Feelgrounds even more than before. We hope you'll feel the same way.
Below you'll find everything you need to know about our updated models, as well as some images showing that the new Feelgrounds look just as good as their predecessors.
Which models have we updated?
This means: all our sneaker models have been updated as they share the same sole. They are available in exactly the same colors as their predecessor models. There will be no price increase.
What have we changed?
- slightly wider and more naturally shaped toe box for even more toe freedom
- slightly raised sole side walls for even more "sneaker" look (the actual sole thickness of 5 mm remains the same)
- improved sole tread
- now also available in size EU 35
What are the benefits of the new models?
- If the previous Feelgrounds fit you well, your toes will have even more room to expand naturally in the new models.
- If the previous models were a bit too narrow for you, the new models will probably have just the right fit for you.
- The updated sole shape is less "sloped" (i.e., more space for the little toes). The sole now fits even more foot shapes than before (e.g., slope, mountain, plateau).
- The improved tread now has larger and offset dots, which provides even more durability and longevity of the sole.
- The sole shape of the updated models is now identical to that of our winter shoe Patrol. You can now finally wear the new models with our removable insoles. This is perfect for narrow feet or feet with low arches.
- Visually, the width change is barely noticeable, meaning your Feelgrounds will still look absolutely stylish.
Sizing
- The updated models are approximately 3 mm longer per size than their predecessors. As a rule, this means no change in Feelgrounds sizing, i.e., most customers will have the same size as with the predecessor models.
- Customers who previously had to size up in Feelgrounds because of width, or customers who previously fell between two Feelgrounds sizes, should now consider the smaller size.
- You may find that the extra space feels a bit strange or unfamiliar at first, but we speak from experience: after wearing the new models for some time, you won't want to go back.

Stocks of predecessor models are now completely sold out. The predecessor models are no longer available.
