A question we get asked frequently is this: "How exactly are your prices structured?"
A very good question! Because before Feelgrounds existed, we from the Feelgrounds team were also consumers in the barefoot shoe market. We too wondered back then why barefoot shoes typically cost 100€ and upwards.
Now, as a young barefoot shoe brand, we can of course only speak for ourselves, but we'd like to give you a little insight into our pricing today.
For us at Feelgrounds, a win-win situation for all involved is extremely important. You as consumers should get stylish barefoot shoes at a fair price. We pour our heart and soul into Feelgrounds and want to pay our employees and partners fairly and be able to produce high-quality barefoot shoes.
Our mission remains to inspire more people about barefoot shoes and make barefoot shoes accessible to more people. We therefore work continuously to improve our shoes and our service while offering the best possible prices.
How Our Prices Are Structured
Let's say Kevin from Frankfurt orders a pair of Original Knit in Gum Graphite today. Then Feelgrounds not only rejoices at Kevin's order, but also covers a number of direct costs from the 119.00 €:
- Material and manufacturing costs
- Import costs and tariffs
- VAT
- Payment processing fees, e.g. to PayPal
- Packaging costs
- Shipping costs
- etc.
But for the store to run and Kevin doesn't have to jet off to the shoe factory with his shoe sketch himself, a few things need to be done before the shoe can be purchased: The shoe is designed, materials are selected and tested, prototypes are made, emails are answered, freight transports are organized - so-called fixed costs!

Happy Price Reduction
And now for the good news: Perhaps you've already spotted the smaller update in the shop!
Now - a year after we shipped our first barefoot shoes - it's time. Thanks to your support, we can now reduce the prices of our existing models by 10.00 €.
Because when you buy more Feelgrounds and we can proportionally reduce fixed costs, more remains per pair sold. Because with a larger sales volume, the fixed costs incurred can be spread across more pairs.
We would therefore like to heartily thank you for your support. And we're doing so in the form of a price reduction!
