One question we frequently get asked is: “How are your prices actually calculated?”
That's a very good question! Because we at the Feelgrounds team were also consumers in the barefoot shoe market before Feelgrounds even existed. We, too, wondered back then why barefoot shoes usually cost €100 or more.
Now, as a young barefoot shoe brand, we can of course only speak for ourselves, but today we would like to give you a little insight into our pricing.
At Feelgrounds, a win-win situation for everyone involved is incredibly important to us. You, as consumers, should get stylish barefoot shoes at a fair price. We put our heart and soul into Feelgrounds and want to be able to pay our employees and partners fairly and produce high-quality barefoot shoes.
Our mission remains to inspire more people to embrace barefoot shoes and make them more accessible. We therefore continuously work to improve our shoes and our service while offering the best possible prices.
This is how our prices are structured.
Let's say Kevin from Frankfurt orders a pair of Original Knit in Gum Graphite today. Feelgrounds will not only be pleased with Kevin's order, but will also use some of the €119.00 to cover direct costs:
- Material and manufacturing costs
- Import costs and customs duties
- VAT
- Payment fees, e.g., to PayPal
- Packaging costs
- Shipping costs
- etc.
However, in order for the business to run smoothly and for Kevin not to have to jet off to the shoe factory himself with his shoe sketch, several things need to be done before the shoe can be purchased: The shoe is designed, materials are selected and tested, prototypes are made, emails are answered, freight transport is organized - so-called fixed costs!

Now, one year after we delivered our first barefoot shoes, the time has come. Thanks to your support, we can now reduce the prices of our existing models by €10.00.
Because if you buy more Feelgrounds and we can proportionally reduce our fixed costs, you'll earn more per pair sold. With a larger sales volume, the fixed costs can be spread across more pairs.
We would therefore like to sincerely thank you for your support. And we're doing so with a price reduction!
